Defence Innovation Network and the University of Newcastle invite the defence and science community to the Virtual Industry Forum focused on AI in Cyber Security and Information Warfare.

This event will showcase NSW’s outstanding innovations presented by universities and industry in specific areas of interest. Participants will also have a chance to interact with a number of representatives from the DST GroupRANRAAF and the Australian Army.

KEYNOTE SPEAKERS:

AREAS OF INTEREST:

Applications of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) to cyber security:

  • AI and ML to deliver IW capabilities at speed and scale, and at the operational edge
  • Detection of vulnerable and compromised systems
  • Automated response actions (e.g. self-patching) and trustworthy assessments
  • Mission assurance and real-time mission awareness

Vulnerabilities of AI-based cyber defences:

  • Behavioural detection systems
  • AI cyber defences from attacks such as input attacks and poisoning attacks
  • Information environment resilience / system trustworthiness
