DIN Sandpit workshop brings together Defence, industry and NSW researchers to identify major defence problems for the DIN Pilot Projects.

About Sandpit Workshop

The event will feature several problem pitches delivered by the Australian Defence Force focused on the STaR Shot missions and the Next Generation Technologies Fund areas.

These problems will be then challenged by the expert audience during the workshop and will form the basis of the call for proposals through the DIN Pilot Project grants.

Attendees will have an opportunity to understand the problems better, connect with like-minded people and find collaborators for their projects.

Problem Statements

  • Collision avoidance between UUVs and surface vessels
  • UAS swarm search strategies
  • Navy Operations Heads Up Interface
  • Selection and training of an elite military population
  • Defence acquisition optimisation using quantum algorithms

Please read the detailed problem statements here.
