Army Headquarters, through the Land Network Integration Centre (LNIC) seeks to enhance soldier operational effectiveness via integrated, adaptable and affordable electronic soldier system infrastructure requirements.

DEF(AUST) Generic Soldier Architecture will facilitate a data rich digital soldier platform environment, with open/ generic standards creating integration agility, interoperable soldier systems and sub-systems able to rapidly capitalize on frequent technology developments to enhance close combatant capability.

On 6 February 2020, the Department of Defence published an AusTender notification to industry of the intent to conduct Industry Briefings that will provide:

  • an update on the development of DEF(AUST) Australian Generic Soldier Architecture project
  • details of an ATM activity planned for February 2020 for the purpose of establishing an Industry Engineering Working Group.

The Industry Briefings will be held as follows:

  • Canberra, ACT, Australia on Wed 26 February 2020; and
  • Melbourne, VIC, Australia on Thurs 27 February 2020.

Participants wishing to attend an Industry Briefing are required to register by emailing their company name, participant name, contact and briefing location to asgsa.office@defence.gov.au by 5pm (ACT local time) Wednesday 19 February 2020, in accordance with the published notification. Registrations are limited to two representatives per organisation.
