The Defence Innovation Network, is calling for collaborative proposals to address key Defence priority areas. This funding will support a collaborative research projects under the DIN Pilot Project program, running for 6–12 months.
Background
The DIN Pilot Project funding program is a competitive annual initiative supporting cross-disciplinary university collaboration in New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory.
Its primary goal is to rapidly assess the feasibility of new Defence-related ideas and develop them into concepts or technologies with the potential to attract further external investment.
Problem Statement
Project proposals should be scoped within the following topics:
- Minimising localisation error with mobile sensors for UAS navigation
- Measurement of Cognitive Fitness
Eligibility
Proposals must showcase multidisciplinary, multi-institutional collaboration and be led by a DIN member university, with meaningful contributions from at least one other DIN university.
Application process
Proposals should be submitted to info@defenceinnovationnetwork.com by 5 PM, 1 May 2025.
Applicants should engage with their DIN university coordinator and the problem originator to ensure clear project objectives. DIN can facilitate introductions upon request. Additionally, all proposals must include support letters from their universities as part of the submission.
