AMSL Aero developed Vertiia electric VTOL, an aircraft capable of taking off and landing vertically using winged lift, to address the Army’s requirement for supplying cargo and rescuing wounded soldiers in areas without runways.
AMSL Aero partnered with the University of Sydney to develop a scaled flight model of the aircraft and to implement the flight control software on the scaled model.
