With the technological advancement of drones, there has been a rising threat due to their potential for use in illegal activities, such as smuggling of drugs, terrorism using explosives of chemical weapons, or unauthorised surveillance.
Using recent improvements in computer vision, image processing and Deep Learning, DroneShield and the University of Technology Sydney are working together to design and develop an AI-based optical detection system to detect and classify drones in real-time.
